- Temporary, Permanent
A leading commercial law firm in Surrey is looking to strengthen its highly regarded Corporate team with the appointment of a newly qualified Solicitor or Junior Associate. The firm has an established reputation for high-quality corporate work and offers an attractive alternative to the City for Lawyers seeking strong transactional experience alongside a more balanced and supportive working environment.
The team advises an impressive client base, including established corporates, private equity-backed businesses and high-growth companies. The work is broad and commercially interesting, encompassing mid-market M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate restructurings and general advisory matters. There is plenty of opportunity to develop direct client relationships and take on meaningful responsibility from an early stage, with close support from experienced Partners.
The firm has invested in building a collaborative and inclusive culture, with an emphasis on developing its Lawyers over the long term. Junior Associates benefit from accessible Partners, good-quality supervision and a structured approach to professional development. Career progression is taken seriously, with a genuine opportunity to build towards more senior positions within the team.
Applications are welcomed from newly qualified Solicitors and Associates with up to two years' PQE who have gained relevant corporate experience at a City, national or well-regarded regional practice. Strong technical foundations, commercial awareness and an interest in developing within a busy transactional team will be important, alongside a collaborative approach and a willingness to take ownership of work as experience develops.
The firm offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including a discretionary bonus, private medical insurance, enhanced parental leave and pension contributions. Hybrid working is well established, with Lawyers typically spending two days per week in the office.
For a junior corporate Lawyer looking to maintain the quality and variety of their work while benefiting from greater flexibility, strong Partner engagement and a clear longer-term career path, this is an opportunity well worth exploring.
