• KITCHEN PORTER - CASUAL / ZERO HOURS - WITH POSSIBLITY TO GO PERMANENT* *Up to £12.71 per hour* *Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a high standard of service in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Previous experience in food preparation or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training will be provided. *Duties* * Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards * Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor * Supporting the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain a safe working environment * Organising storage areas and ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely * Helping with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently * Assisting with stock rotation and inventory checks as needed * Supporting the serving staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow *Experience* * Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential * Familiarity with basic food preparation and kitchen procedures is an advantage * Experience in hospitality or culinary roles can be beneficial for understanding service standards * Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the demands of a dynamic kitchen environment This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career within the hospitality industry.
