Technologist - Product Testing / Technical Documentation
Technologist required to join a busy lab specialising in testing a range of products relating to Personal Protective Equipment. The position will be based at the company’s head offices in Kettering, Northants but include up to 50% travel within the UK and overseas.
The department consists of a number of accredited laboratories with a range of test equipment and machines used to test the physical properties of PPE against international and European standards. Results from these tests are then reported to customers and used for their product development or to apply for CE or UKCA certification.
The Technologist's vacancy is predominantly for the Fall Protection PPE area and will involve arranging the testing of items such as harnesses, lanyards, connectors, anchors and many more pieces of equipment for working at height.
As a Technologist within the Safety Products Testing team, you will be required to carry out the following:
- Produce reports containing physical test results and communicate findings to customers
- Conduct administrative tasks relating to testing activities including coordinating schedules, preparing documentation and updating internal systems
- Customer liaison via email, phone and in person
- Answer customer enquiries, technical questions, provide quotations and support
