Maintenance Engineer

Area: Hawarden Hours: 8am - 4.30pm with flexibility. Salary: 40-45K (depending on experience. Our Client has a permanent opportunity to join their large manufacturing plant. They are looking for a team player who is hands on and able to work on their own initiative. Maintenance Engineer Key Duties: Carry out routine and unplanned maintenance work and respond to equipment faults; Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and machinery and arrange procurement of fixtures, fittings and components as required; Conduct quality inspections on jobs; Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment; Monitor and control maintenance costs; Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs; Work closely with Senior Management to improve health and safety policies and procedures; Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous flow of production and operations; Criteria: Time-served Mechanical Engineer or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in a mechanical maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong practical experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics Basic working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, CNC, or PC-controlled equipment desirable (mechanical focus remains key) Able to work independently, manage workload effectively, and prioritise maintenance activities Proactive, reliable team player with flexibility to support business needs when required At NMC Recruitment we review all applications and will contact all candidates with the required skills and experience.
