\nCastle Education is working with a welcoming primary school in the Knaresborough area, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis.\n
\n
\nThis rewarding role will involve providing individual support to a child with additional needs, helping them access learning opportunities, build confidence and develop essential skills within a supportive school environment.\n
\n
\nYou'll work closely with teaching staff to ensure the child receives appropriate support, encouraging their progress, independence and emotional wellbeing.\n
\n
The Role\n
\n

\n
• Provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.
\n
• Support learning activities adapted to the child's individual needs and abilities.
\n
• Encourage confidence, independence and personal development.
\n
• Help implement behaviour support strategies where required.
\n
• Work closely with teachers and external professionals.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress updates.
\n

What We're Looking For\n

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting.
\n
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
\n
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
\n
• The ability to develop positive and trusting relationships.
\n
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil development.
\n
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
\n
