About the role
Location: SUEZ HWRC, Seven Brethren Industrial Estate, Barnstaple, EX31 2AS
Hours:
- In the winter you will be working 35.5 hours per week, Wednesday-Friday 8:45am until 16:45pm and Saturday-Sunday, 9:45am until 16:45pm.
- In the summer you will be working 40 hours per week, Wednesday-Friday 8:45am until 17:15pm and Saturday-Sunday 9:45am until 18:15pm
What will I be doing?
You will advise and assist the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials deposited in the sites.
This will involve:
- Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
- Providing excellent levels of customer service
- Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
- Maintain a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
- Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.
What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.
The role requires:
- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
- A person extremely conscious of health and safety with the desire to develop and embrace change, whilst driven towards continuous improvement.
- Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage but not a necessity
