\nCastle Education is working with a welcoming primary school in York who are looking for a motivated and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team for a long-term placement.\n
\n
\nThis is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children throughout their school day, helping them develop new skills, build confidence and feel encouraged in the classroom. You'll work alongside teachers to create a positive learning environment where pupils feel supported and able to reach their potential.\n
\n
What You'll Be Doing\n
\n

\n
• Supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 with their learning and development.
\n
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities, lesson preparation and resources.
\n
• Providing individual and small group support when needed.
\n
• Encouraging positive behaviour, participation and independence.
\n
• Helping maintain an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
\n
• Supporting children's social skills, emotional wellbeing and confidence.
\n

• Experience working with children or young people is beneficial.
\n
• A patient, approachable and encouraging attitude.
\n
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
\n
• Confidence adapting to different classroom situations and pupil needs.
\n
• A genuine interest in helping children achieve their best.
\n
• Reliability, enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.
