We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Second in Department to provide cohesive leadership and motivating direction within our faculty. In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of Department in driving innovative strategies to enhance the quality of learning, teaching, and student achievement. As a model of the Academy’s vision and values, you will be a key driver in our journey to becoming an 'outstanding' school, championing best practice and fostering a collective approach to problem-solving and curricular development.

About the Department: Our Science department is energetic and forward thinking. We thrive to inspire our students but find so often that they end up inspiring us!We have a wealth of knowledge in the department and an array of 6 specialist teachers who are always willing to share their knowledge and support each other. We are proud of our team, our relationships with each other and our students. The department consists of six teachers and a Science technician. The department benefits from four science labs and two specialist classrooms, as well as a specialist Science technician.
