About this role:
We are looking for a Strategic Accounts Director with 5+ years of experience to land and grow Scope's biggest accounts: the world's largest asset owners and inspection companies. You're a sharp, hungry enterprise seller who has built senior relationships at large companies. You'd rather build a book from scratch in untapped markets than coast on a big brand. You'll join a small, elite sales team (Ahmed, former Head of Enterprise Sales at Revolut, closed $100M+) and help turn Scope's six-figure deals into seven-figure contracts.
What will you be doing?
Own 5-10 named target accounts (global asset owners and inspection companies) and run the full sale from first outreach to close
Run complex 6-9 month enterprise sales cycles with deals from mid-6 to mid-7 figures (current ACV around $250K and growing)
Get past gatekeepers and company politics to build trusted relationships with executives and the C-suite
Build account strategies and negotiate firmly on pricing, trials and contract terms, holding a $1.5M quota in year one rising to $2.5M in year two (uncapped commission)
Travel to clients (about 25%) and help launch new regions such as North America and Europe.
What to ask candidates
- Why do I think they'd be a great fit?
- What's the biggest deal you've personally closed with a company doing $500M+ in revenue? What was your exact role in getting it signed?
- Walk us through a time you broke into a big enterprise account from scratch with little brand behind you. How'd you get through the politics to land the exec?
- Are you able to work onsite in London 5 days a week and travel to clients about 25% of the time?
- Can the candidate be on-site? If not, is the candidate willing to relocate?
- What is their salary expectation?
- How actively is this candidate exploring new opportunities?
