CAD Estimator

Advanced Resourcing are a forward-thinking Agency that specialise within the Manufacturing & Engineering recruitment sector and work with clients all over the West Midlands and Shropshire area. Due to continued growth, our client is currently recruiting for a CAD Estimator to join their growing workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the Laser Industry and have previous estimating experience. Job duties: * Reading engineering drawings and creating profile drawings using AutoCAD 2D * Preparing cost plans from drawings, specifications and client requirements * Obtaining and analysing supplier quotations * Producing take-offs and detailed pricing schedules * Working closely with design, commercial and operational teams * Supporting value engineering exercises and alternative design solutions * Maintaining accurate records of estimates, quotations and communication * Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. You will need: * The ability to read engineering drawings and be able to produce profile drawings using an AutoCAD 2d type software package * Previous experience from an Engineering background and/or working with Lantek software would be an advantage, although not essential.
