4G Flux Core Welder (FCAW 136) Location: Methil, Fife Contract: Expected duration of 10+ months, with scope for extension Opportunity: Contract and temporary to permanent opportunities Payment: PAYE Expected working hours: 12-hour shifts, Sunday to Friday. Saturday working on request and subject to workload. Shifts: Days and nights, with 12-hour night shifts available immediately Holiday: Paid holiday entitlement MDE is the sole recruitment supplier for these roles at Navantia UK’s Methil site. We are recruiting experienced Flux Core Welders to support a barge fabrication project. The contract is expected to run for 10+ months, with scope for extension. Temporary to permanent opportunities are also available, subject to performance and client requirements. We welcome applications from suitable local welders and those willing to travel. Current personal welding codings are not essential, as weld testing will be conducted on site. Pay Rates * Day shift: £22.89 per hour for the first 37.5 hours worked each week. * Night shift: £29.76 per hour for the first 37.5 hours worked each week, calculated at 1.30× the basic day rate. * Overtime: £36.62 per hour after 37.5 hours per week, on either shift.
