Central Buchan Medical Practice | Up to 37.5 Hours per Week | Full-Time & Part-Time Applications Welcome
Looking for an ANP role where you can use your advanced clinical skills, work with a supportive multidisciplinary team and continue developing your career?
Central Buchan Medical Practice is looking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our clinical team across our three practice sites in and around the Strichen area.
We have one full-time position of 37.5 hours per week available, but we recognise that the right work-life balance looks different for everyone. We therefore warmly welcome applications from both full-time and part-time candidatesand are happy to discuss how the available hours could work for the right applicant or applicants.
Remote & Rural Advanced Practice
Working within Central Buchan offers the opportunity to experience the breadth, variety and professional satisfaction that comes with remote and rural primary care.
Our three-site model allows you to work with different local communities while remaining part of one wider Central Buchan team.
As an ANP, you will be an integral member of our multidisciplinary clinical team, working collaboratively with GPs, fellow advanced practitioners and the wider MDT to assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with a broad range of clinical needs.
Remote and rural practice provides an opportunity to use your advanced clinical skills while developing continuity with patients and becoming familiar with the communities you support.
Be Part of a Strong MDT
We believe effective primary care is built around genuine multidisciplinary working.
Our ANPs are valued members of the clinical team and play an important role in managing patient demand and providing high-quality, person-centred care.
You will work alongside colleagues across the wider MDT, with opportunities for clinical discussion, shared learning and peer support.
Regular clinical communication and team working are important to us, ensuring that clinicians have opportunities to raise issues, share ideas and contribute to how services are delivered.
Continue Developing Your Career
We want this to be a role in which you can continue to develop professionally rather than simply maintain your existing skills.
We actively support continued professional development and will encourage opportunities for additional training and the development of special clinical interests where these complement the needs of our patients and practice.
You will also have opportunities to contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and service development, helping shape how care is delivered across Central Buchan.
We recognise the value of peer support and shared learning. Our ANPs have opportunities to participate in wider professional development and peer-learning sessions, supporting the sharing of experience and best practice.
Why Central Buchan
Central Buchan provides the opportunity to combine a rewarding career in advanced clinical practice with the lifestyle benefits of rural Aberdeenshire.
Strichen and the surrounding communities offer countryside living while remaining within easy reach of the spectacular north-east coastline, coastal villages and larger towns across Buchan.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, the area provides access to beautiful countryside, beaches, coastal walks and a more relaxed pace of life.
Working across our three practice sites also brings genuine clinical variety. Each community has its own character and patient population, while you remain part of the same wider clinical and practice team.
For clinicians attracted to rural healthcare, there is something particularly rewarding about developing continuity with patients and seeing the difference that high-quality primary care can make within smaller communities.
