CMM Inspector

CMM Inspector Lymington Permanent £18 - £20.91 Join a well-established precision engineering business supporting high-quality manufacturing operations. As a CMM Inspector, you'll ensure components meet engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances. You'll play a key role in maintaining quality standards, supporting production and ensuring inspection activities are completed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities * Inspect components using CMM equipment and manual inspection methods. * Create, adjust and prove out CMM inspection programs. * Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections. * Evaluate components against engineering drawings and specifications. * Maintain accurate inspection records, reports and quality documentation. * Identify non-conforming products and support corrective actions. * Review supplier documentation and complete manual inspections. * Work closely with Quality and Production teams to resolve issues and minimise delays. Skills & Knowledge Required * Previous experience in a CMM Inspector or similar inspection role. * Proficiency in CMM software for creating inspection programs. * Strong understanding of CMM best practice and inspection techniques. * In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications. * High levels of accuracy and attention to detail. * Competence in IT software, including Microsoft Word and Excel. * Recognised CMM training or programmer/operator training.
