HGV Class 1 Driver – Crewe (Recruiting from Congleton) People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Crewe, with applications welcomed from experienced drivers living in Congleton (CW12 1DP) and surrounding areas. Please note: The actual working location is Crewe, and all drivers must be able to travel to the Crewe depot for their allocated shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, paid breaks, ongoing full-time work, flexible start times and genuine opportunities for long-term employment. £19.06 Per Hour | 1.5x Overtime on Sixth Shift | Paid Breaks | Flexible Start Times | Weekly Pay | Immediate Starts This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Trunking Driver. Shifts • Any five days from seven • Start times between 6:00am and 8:00am • Flexibility around start times available where required • Overtime opportunities available on a sixth shift Rates of Pay • £19.06 per hour • Overtime on the sixth shift only • Paid breaks • Weekly pay Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates of pay • Paid breaks • Weekly pay • Ongoing full-time work • Immediate starts available • Regular overtime and sixth-shift opportunities • On-site canteen and facilities • Potential for permanent employment Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include: • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift • Ensuring loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations • Following delivery schedules and routes efficiently • Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures • Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery records • Delivering a professional service at all times Essential Skills • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence • Minimum of 24 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience • Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • Good knowledge of drivers' hours and working time regulations • Strong communication and time-management skills • Professional and reliable approach to work • Ability to reliably travel to the Crewe depot for allocated shifts Training Provided • Driver assessment required before starting • Two days' paid training • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply If you are an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver based in Congleton, Crewe or surrounding areas and are looking for ongoing driving work with excellent rates of pay, apply today with your updated CV.
