Interim Technology Planning & Delivery Lead

White Horse Employment is recruiting an interim (temporary) leadership role covering the Technology Planning & Delivery Manager position for a fast-growing business, going through a significant period of change. You will be working closely with the "Head of" while they recruit on a permanent basis, expected to be 3-4 months.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a small team of 3-4 direct reports, allocating work between project delivery and operational support.
• Own and consolidate the Technology roadmap across the Centres of Excellence, run prioritisation discussions, and flag dependencies and risks.
• Coordinate delivery of the Q1 2027 roadmap (the success factors also mention Q4 2026 priorities), tracking milestones and escalating issues.
• Run governance: chair weekly stand-ups and delivery reviews, keep portfolio reporting, risk logs and action tracking going.
• Embed ways of working, including Azure DevOps, documentation, testing, release planning and change coordination.
• Support the Technology Support team with incidents and business systems support requests.
• Produce a structured handover plan for the permanent hire.

About you:

• Someone who can step in quickly, establish credibility and keep things moving.
• Proven experience running something similar in a changing, growing organisation.
• A degree or equivalent experience in IT, business systems, project management or similar.
• Certifications are desirable (PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, MSP, PMP, ITIL).

There is an option to be considered for a permanent hire, and you will need to be on-site 2 days a week.
