Power Controller Location - Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN16 1BP Salary - £41,618 to £43,941+ 30% shift allowance Pattern of Work – 42 Hours – Shifts What you need to know about the role Decarbonisation of steel industry is key to our future, and none of that can happen without the ability of British Steel to move large amounts of electrical power safely around the sites to our new processes through the High Voltage networks. Our Power & Distribution department operates and maintains High Voltage equipment essential for safe and reliable operations of the site, supply to 3rd party consumers and some off-site facilities within North Lincolnshire. This role is an exciting opportunity which will see you working within the wider Energy area shift team ensuring the safe and reliable operation of High Voltage equipment. You will work within the parameters of the British Steel High Voltage Safety rules/regulations to monitor, control and sanction all operations on the Scunthorpe & Immingham High Voltage distribution systems from 3.3KV to 33KV.
