Role: Flexographic Slitter Operator Pay: £13.50p/h - £14.50p/h Hours: 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am || 4 on & 4 off Location: Pershore, WR10 2JJ Job Description and Duties A Flexographic Slitter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining slitting and rewinding machinery used in the flexible packaging and printing industry. The role involves cutting large printed or laminated rolls into smaller rolls according to customer specifications, while ensuring accurate dimensions, high quality, and minimal waste. Key Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate slitting and rewinding machines according to job specifications and production schedules. Read and follow job tickets, work orders, and production instructions. Load and unload large rolls of printed or laminated materials. Set and adjust slitting knives, blades, and cutting equipment to the required widths. Configure machine settings, including speed, web tension, alignment, and rewind tension. Monitor the slitting and rewinding process to ensure accurate cutting and roll quality. Inspect finished rolls for correct width, length, alignment, winding quality, and defects. Identify and correct issues such as uneven edges, poor winding, telescoping, wrinkles, or incorrect roll tension. Change blades, knives, cores, and materials as required.
