Contract Human Factors Engineer Location: Cambridge | Hybrid Duration: 3-month contract Rate: up to £500 per day We’re looking for an experienced Human Factors Engineer to join a client of ours on a short-term contract, working on usability studies for advanced medical devices. This is a hands-on, study-focused role. You’ll be involved in the full study cycle, from planning and running sessions as a moderator or observer, through to analysing the data and writing up clear, actionable reports. There’s a formative study coming up that looks at cleaning and reprocessing workflows with existing users, so you’ll be out in the field with real users, working closely with a colleague on the study while paticipant recruitment and venues are already taken care of. There’s no need to learn a complex clinical system, as the focus is on the study itself. You’ll be joining an experienced, well-established usability team made up entirely of human factors engineers, each comfortable in any study role, who are already working to established quality procedures aligned with FDA guidance.
