This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through creative learning, helping them develop technical skills, explore artistic ideas and express themselves through a variety of media. The successful candidate will deliver Art lessons across KS3 and KS4, planning a curriculum that develops drawing, painting, design, experimentation and critical evaluation. Students should be encouraged to study artists and artistic movements, explore different materials and techniques, and develop their own ideas through practical projects. You will be expected to create a well-organised and stimulating learning environment in which pupils can work independently, collaborate with their peers and take pride in their creative achievements. Clear demonstrations, structured guidance and constructive feedback will help students refine their work and understand how to improve. For pupils studying GCSE Art and Design, you will support the development of portfolios, practical outcomes and the ability to explain artistic decisions. You will also monitor progress and adapt teaching to provide appropriate support and challenge.
