Job description

Job Description

BMS Project Manager | Up to £70,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus | London, South East & National

If you already manage BMS projects and want greater ownership across both the technical and commercial sides of delivery, this is an opportunity to take responsibility for projects from handover through to completion.

You'll be working within an established building controls business delivering projects nationally, with a significant amount of activity across London and the South East.

The package includes a salary of up to £70,000, company car or £6,280 car allowance, company bonus and hybrid/site working arrangements.
What you'll actually be doing and why it matters

You'll take ownership of allocated BMS projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, professionally, on programme and within budget.

Your remit goes beyond coordinating site activity. You'll manage project costs, programmes, forecasting, subcontractors and resources while maintaining regular communication with customers.

Technically, you'll be involved in control equipment procurement, valve sizing, approving control panel drawings and designs, technical submissions and reviewing external design engineering.

You'll also manage variations and interim payment applications, contribute to final accounts and oversee project reporting, commissioning/witnessing documentation and O&M information.
Why this move could be better

This could suit you if you want a BMS Project Manager position where your influence stretches across technical delivery, commercial performance and customer management, rather than being limited to one part of the project lifecycle.

Alongside a salary of up to £70,000, you'll receive:

  • Company car or £6,280 car allowance, plus a company bonus based on personal and company objectives
  • 25 days' annual leave, increasing with service, with the opportunity to buy or sell additional holiday
  • 7.5% pension, increasing with service, plus private healthcare and additional employee benefits

Other benefits include an EV salary sacrifice scheme, EV charger loan, cycle-to-work scheme and employee discounts.
Essentials

You'll need credible technical experience across multiple BMS/HVAC products, combined with the commercial awareness to manage project costs and performance.

You should be comfortable leading projects, managing subcontractors and resources, dealing directly with customers and communicating effectively with internal technical, sales and commercial teams.

Strong organisation, attention to detail and Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Project, are also required.
The challenge

This is a hands-on project management position with responsibility across programme, gross margin, cost-to-complete forecasting, subcontractor/resource management and project reporting.

The project coverage is national, with a significant amount of work in London and the South East, so you'll need to be comfortable combining site requirements with hybrid working.
Your development

The breadth of the remit gives you exposure to the technical, operational and commercial elements of BMS project delivery, including forecasting, final accounts, resource management and design coordination.

Training courses are also part of the role where required.
