Senior Litigation Solicitor/Legal Executive

An established and growing legal practice is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Litigation Solicitor/Legal Executive to join its busy and collaborative litigation team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Solicitor/Legal Executive to manage a varied and rewarding caseload of civil and commercial disputes, while contributing to the continued development of the team and supporting the delivery of high-quality legal services.

The Role

As a Senior Litigation Solicitor/Legal Executive, you will manage your own caseload of complex litigation matters, providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to clients across a range of civil and commercial disputes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of litigation matters from initial instruction through to resolution
• Handling insolvency matters, contentious probate, contractual disputes and commercial litigation
• Advising on shareholder, partnership, directors' and consumer disputes
• Representing clients in mediation and court proceedings, where appropriate, and instructing counsel as required
• Providing commercially focused legal advice tailored to clients' needs
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting the growth and development of the litigation team
• Supervising and mentoring junior Solicitor/Legal Executives, trainee Solicitor/Legal Executives, paralegals and support staff where appropriate
• Managing competing priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of client care and service delivery
• Contributing to business development and the continued success of the department

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced Solicitor/Legal Executive with a strong background in civil and commercial litigation.

You will ideally have:

• From 8 years' PQE
• Strong experience in commercial litigation
• A proven track record of managing a varied litigation caseload independently
• Excellent case management, organisational and time-management skills
• Strong advocacy, negotiation and communication skills
• The ability to build and maintain effective client relationships
• Experience in supervising, supporting or mentoring junior colleagues
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
• A commitment to delivering practical, high-quality legal advice and excellent client care
