Mechanical Design Engineer

My client, a leading Engineering company based in High Wycombe are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience of mechanical and hydraulic design and a sound knowledge of FEA. As part of the role, the Mechanical Design Engineer will have partial responsibility for the technical execution of multiple projects (Client projects and R&D projects) together with managing the design documentations to Clients and Production. Main Duties: * Lead client driven projects with the assistance of the Senior Engineer and the support of other engineers within the team. * Assist the project management team in converting client’s engineering requirements into detailed defined instructions, identifying the key priorities for the procurement and production departments to complete a project. * Conceive, research, and develop engineering designs from product ideas gathered by liaising with Clients, together with Sales, Projects, and Production departments. * Evaluate all key factors including client requirements, use of the product, material selection, safety, legal requirements, and design for manufacture. * Lead internal design reviews for new design with assistance from the Senior Engineer. * Responsible for assigned design projects and delivering these projects within the required timescale. * Create Design file for each project to ensu...
