Location: Birmingham Position: Science Teacher Contract: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Application: CV only About the Role The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach up to Key Stage 5 where appropriate. You will encourage students to explore scientific concepts, develop practical skills and build confidence in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering well-structured lessons that engage students of different abilities. Making scientific concepts accessible through clear explanations and practical learning activities. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support improvement. Maintaining positive behaviour and creating an inclusive classroom environment. Preparing students for examinations through effective revision strategies and targeted interventions. Working with colleagues to share resources, develop teaching practice and improve outcomes. The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a committed teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Science. Applicants should have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting. Effective classroom management and lesson-planning skills. The ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs. Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
