Senior Estimator – Groundworks and Civil Engineering (First Principles) HYBRID WORKING - 2-3 split office and home – Office near Luton Salary up to £120,000 + package (depending on experience) Residential and Commercial Groundworks packages Senior Estimator required from a Groundworks and Civil Engineering background by a very reputable and well recognised subcontracting business. Working in a small but experienced team you will be responsible for the accurate pricing of tenders valued from £100k - £10m. Typical Duties: * First principles pricing of projects * Take offs, measurement and rates build up * BOQ measurement * Spotting risk and reward opportunities * Attending tender adjudication meetings with Directors * Attending prestart meetings at project stage * Client and subcontractor when required Hybrid role – office and home working * Overseeing and managing tenders and bids workload individually and sometimes with the team * Pricing tenders valued between £100k - £10m typically * Dealing with a very established Blue Chip client base * Reporting to the business shareholders * Working for a very well-established business, a well known contracting business Covering civil engineering including but not limited to: * 75% on Roads, sewers and housing plots on residential schemes * 25% on Excavations, foundation...
