POLING HGV DRIVER

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Poling Operative – Drivers to join our Wales and Midland Teams working out of Cinderford (Gloucester)

As a Poling Operative, you will be responsible for Installation and removal of poles, including dressing new poles covering the Midlands/ Wales regions

This is an entry level Position and all Telecoms training and accreditations will be provided. training is paid at a rate of £120 – £160 per day. All pay rates will be discussed via Phone Call. .

Essential Requirements:

• HGV Class 2 licence
• Valid CPC and understanding of Tachograph driving laws
• Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Professional communication skills
• Organised, self-motivated, and achievement-oriented
• Basic computer literacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Replace damaged, decayed, or defective poles in the Openreach network
• Install new poles to support customer connections
• Ensure all work meets client specifications and safety standards
• Maintain driving standards and legal compliance
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company/client policies

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working in the Openreach network
• Groundworks or civils experience
• IPAF 1B
• NPORS N107 or equivalent
• Full NRSWA Streetworks operative-level qualification
• 360 Excavator operation
• PASMA certification
