Wayman Education is looking to hear from an enthusiastic English Teacher interested in a new opportunity in Tamworth. This role would suit a teacher who is passionate about developing literacy, encouraging a love of reading and helping pupils express their ideas with clarity, confidence and precision.

The Role
Deliver English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Teach a range of literary texts and develop pupils' English Language skills.
Build pupils' confidence in reading, writing, analysis and extended responses.
Prepare pupils for GCSE assessments and examinations.
Use assessment information to identify learning needs and plan next steps.
Adapt teaching to support pupils with different abilities.
Contribute to department planning and the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds QTS and a relevant English qualification.
Has strong knowledge of English Language and Literature.
Can deliver engaging lessons that develop literacy and critical thinking.
Demonstrates effective behaviour management.
Is confident assessing written work and providing useful feedback.
Is committed to high standards and supporting every pupil's progress.
Salary
The indicative salary is MPS/UPS, depending on experience and the employing school's arrangements.
