Quantity Surveyor – Tier 1 Main Contractor Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire Salary: £54,000 – £68,000 + Package Sector: Education / Leisure / Public Sector Working Arrangement: Site / Office Based with Some Flexibility An established Tier 1 main contractor is looking to bring an experienced Quantity Surveyor into their Northern Home Counties team, based around Welwyn Garden City. The business has a strong pipeline of work across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas, with several new opportunities coming through across the education and leisure sectors. They're now looking to strengthen their commercial team ahead of a busy period. This would suit a Quantity Surveyor who has gained good experience with a recognised main contractor and is comfortable taking commercial responsibility for their own projects, or working as part of a larger commercial team on more substantial schemes. The Opportunity Projects typically range from £10m to £30m, with the successful candidate likely to take the commercial lead on schemes up to £20m or work alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor on larger projects. There is a good mix of work coming through, and the business is particularly interested in surveyors who have been involved from the pre-construction stages through to delivery and final account.
