LIVE IN CARER

About the role
G & H Personnel is recruiting caring, reliable and experienced live-in carers to support older people (aged 65 and over) to stay safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes. You'll live in the client's home during your placement and provide one-to-one care and companionship, building a trusting relationship with the client and their family.

• What you'll be doing
  • Personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing and continence care, with dignity and respect.
  • Preparing healthy meals and drinks, and supporting with eating where needed.
  • Supporting with medication, as set out in the care plan.
  • Supporting mobility and transfers, using equipment safely.
  • Light housekeeping and laundry, keeping the home clean and safe.
  • Companionship, outings and helping the client stay connected with family and friends.
  • Supporting the client to appointments and working with family, GPs and district nurses.
  • Recognising and reporting changes in health or wellbeing.
  • Keeping accurate daily care records.

• What you'll need
  • At least 6 months' experience in care.
  • The right to work in the UK in your own right. Unfortunately, we cannot offer placements to candidates who need sponsorship (Certificate of Sponsorship)
