This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading global financial institution as a Senior Legal Counsel within its Global Legal function.
Whether you're considering your first move in-house or looking to take the next step into a major global brand, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with the business on some genuinely interesting areas across Markets, Tokenisation and Digital Assets.
You'll be joining a strong, collaborative team where people genuinely enjoy working together. Technical ability is important, but so is attitude, commercial thinking and the ability to build relationships. The team is looking for someone who can bring strong regulatory expertise while also having the broader skillset and mindset to grow with the role.
The Role
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and the business, providing practical advice across:
- Financial services regulatory matters, particularly across Markets & Securities Services
- UK and EU regulatory developments
- Tokenisation, Digital Assets and Currencies
- Complex legal, conduct and reputational risk
- Commercial and transaction documentation
About You
We're looking for a strong Regulatory Lawyer with a financial services background and significant post-qualification experience, ideally gained within a recognised law firm and/or leading financial institution.
You'll bring:
- Strong technical regulatory expertise
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach
- The confidence to work with senior stakeholders
- A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to get involved
Digital Assets exposure is a plus, but not essential. The right regulatory foundation, attitude and broader skillset are more important.
