CNC Setter Operators

CNC Setter / Operators (Turning or Milling) - (Days =4 day week or Nights = 3 day week) New opportunities for CNC Setter/Operators to set, run and support CNC Lathes or Mills on day shift or night shift. These are hands-on shopfloor roles focused on strong setting and operating skills - (note that stated salary range includes shift premiums), CNC programming experience is an advantage and could command higher salary rates than stated. The role (responsibilities) * Set and operate CNC Lathes or Mills to achieve safe, consistent output * Load programs and set tooling/offsets to meet component requirements * Produce first-off components for inspection and approval * Record and self-check quality outputs to drawing specifications * Monitor machine performance to maintain optimum outputs * Read and interpret engineering drawings (including complex drawings) * Carry out routine maintenance within your capability and area * Support continuous improvement in processes and methods What we're looking for (essential) * Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator (turning and/or milling) * Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred but cross training is possible. * Strong drawing interpretation and attention to detail * Comfortable working as part of a team and independently * Good problem-solving skills Desirable (bonus) * CNC programming experience * Aerospace experience What's on offer * Day shift: 37.5 hours over a 4-day week (Mon-Thu) - Fridays free * Night shift: 37.5 hours over a 3-day week * Flexible start and finish times * Company pension scheme * Attendance bonus/Long service awards These are permanent jobs with starting salaries dependant on experience and shift.
