Job description

About the role:

We are seeking a self-employed Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) (HCPC and RCSLT registered) to work with us on an associate basis, with an initial opportunity to provide cover within one of our partner primary schools in Lambeth.

The initial placement will run from October half term until 18 December 2026. We are looking for someone who can commit to one or two days per week during this period and be based in school for the full school day (8:45am-3:15pm), although we are happy to discuss some flexibility around working hours for the right candidate. There is also potential for further opportunities to provide short-term cover on a casual basis across our partner schools, including both planned and unplanned absence cover.

The role will focus on supporting a priority caseload of children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring their speech and language provision is delivered effectively. Previous experience of managing EHCP caseloads and working within a school-based setting is therefore essential, and you will be required to complete safer recruitment checks in line with KCSIE.

You will be supported by an experienced and welcoming Unlocking Potential SaLT team, with clinical supervision and professional support provided throughout the placement.

To apply, please complete our application form and submit your CV. To arrange an informal discussion, please contact: hr@up.org.uk
