- Temporary, Permanent, Part-time
Are you passionate about helping children thrive and looking for a rewarding role in education? Protocol Education is working with a number of welcoming primary schools across Keynsham and the surrounding areas who are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their teams.
Whether you're an experienced education professional, a skilled HLTA, or someone with transferable experience from childcare, youth work, coaching, care or support settings, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a TA or HLTA, you'll play a vital role in supporting children to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
You could be:
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Providing 1:1 support and leading small group interventions
- Working with children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Speech & Language needs
- Supporting learning alongside class teachers
- Adapting classroom activities to meet individual needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and resilience
- Delivering lessons and covering classes (HLTA roles)
- Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
Why These Roles Are So Rewarding
Every day is different.
One morning you could be helping a child master their phonics, while the afternoon might see you leading a small maths intervention, supporting a pupil with additional needs, or delivering a lesson as an HLTA.
The support you provide can have a lasting impact on a child's confidence, progress and enjoyment of school.
