Salary: 12.71 per hour
We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in theTheatre department.
This is a bank role working on an as and when required basis you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Assist in delivering safe and effective care across the theatre department supporting patients throughout their surgical pathway.
- Prepare theatres for procedures including equipment checks stock preparation and ensuring the environment is clean and ready.
- Engage with patients in a respectful dignified and empathetic manner helping to alleviate anxiety and ensure comfort.
- Maintain a high standard of personal conduct and clinical care in accordance with CHG policies and the HCA framework.
- Take responsibility for developing your own clinical and technical skills through training mentorship and reflection.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient theatre environment through stock control timely equipment turnover and adherence to clinical standards.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare support role.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate patient-centred approach.
- Willingness to undertake training and competency development in theatre-specific care.
- Understanding of infection control safeguarding and basic health and safety principles.
