  • Process, log, and triage daily safeguarding concerns and child protection referrals under the guidance of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

  • Organize statutory safeguarding panels, Team Around the Family (TAF) conferences, and multi-agency reviews, preparing agendas and taking detailed, confidential minutes.

  • Act as a professional point of contact for Redbridge Children’s Social Care, local healthcare providers, police liaison officers, and voluntary support agencies.

  • Monitor attendance and welfare data for vulnerable pupil cohorts, including Children in Need (CIN), pupils on Child Protection (CP) plans, and Looked After Children (LAC).

Key Requirements

  • Previous administrative experience within a school, local authority, social care setting, or youth organization.

  • Proficiency in specialized safeguarding record-keeping software (CPOMS, MyConcern) and school management information systems (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom).

  • Sound understanding of statutory safeguarding guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and multi-agency working frameworks.

  • High emotional resilience, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

  • Outstanding organizational, written communication, and minute-taking skills.

  • Legal right to work in the UK.

School Highlights & Benefits

  • Collaborative pastoral team and supportive leadership committed to staff wellbeing and child protection excellence.

  • Access to continuous professional development (CPD), including Level 3 Safeguarding/DSL training and specialized casework workshops.

  • Convenient Redbridge location with great transport links (Central Line, Elizabeth Line, local bus routes, and access to the A12/M11) plus free on-site staff parking.

  • Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) enrolment and term-time-only working options.
