HGV Technician

to join their established workshop team in the West Midlands as a Mobile HGV Technician. What's on Offer? £42,000 – £50,000 per annum , depending on experience Overtime paid at enhanced rate Company van + fuel card Continental shift pattern with an excellent work-life balance Manufacturer and technical training Ongoing training and development Genuine career progression opportunities Company pension scheme 30 days' holiday, including bank holidays + 1 additional day off for your birthday Modern, well-equipped workshop facilities Secure and stable long-term employment Free on-site parking The Role As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a predominantly Scania fleet, ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable and compliant with all relevant legislation. Your duties will include: Carrying out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults Completing repairs and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer standards Stripping, inspecting and rebuilding major components, including engines, gearboxes, differentials and braking systems Carrying out detailed vehicle testing and diagnostic fault-finding Completing safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT and DVSA requirements Accurately recording all maintenance and repair activities using workshop management systems Maintaining high standards of workmanship, productivity and efficiency Working closely with other technicians and workshop management to minimise vehicle downtime Following all company health & safety procedures and best engineering practices About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Previous experience as an

HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician

– essential Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent

– essential Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Proven experience servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy commercial vehicles Experience stripping, inspecting and rebuilding vehicle components Good knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems A full UK driving licence – essential A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning and developing The ability to work independently as well as effectively within a busy workshop team Why Join?
