This is a full-time, permanent position, with an anticipated start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will help ensure that the premises remain safe, clean, secure, and well maintained, providing a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Working alongside colleagues and school leadership, you will support the smooth operation of the site, carrying out general maintenance duties and responding to day-to-day facilities requirements. Key Responsibilities Ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, clean, and presentable Carrying out general maintenance, minor repairs, and practical DIY tasks Opening and closing the school site as required Monitoring site security, including alarms and access arrangements Preparing rooms and facilities for school activities and events Reporting maintenance issues and liaising with contractors when necessary Experience and Skills Previous experience in caretaking, site maintenance, facilities, or a similar role is preferred Basic knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety A practical approach to identifying and resolving problems Ability to work independently and collaboratively Good communication, organisation, and time-management skills Valid right to work in the UK School Information The school provides a welcoming and supportive environment, with an emphasis on maintaining safe, clean, and well-managed facilities.
