Supply Teaching - Full Class Teacher Responsibilities Academics are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher for a supply teaching opportunity at a welcoming primary school in the Newcastle-under-Lyme (ST5) area. Starting after October half term 2026, this role will involve teaching a mixed Year 2/3 class of 29 pupils, including a group of higher-attaining Year 2 children learning alongside Year 3 pupils. The initial booking is for 12 weeks, offering an excellent opportunity for a confident teacher who enjoys adapting lessons to meet the needs of a mixed-age class. You will take on

full class teacher responsibilities , including planning, preparation, assessment, classroom management and delivering engaging lessons that support pupils' progress and development.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have experience teaching within a primary school setting.

Be confident teaching mixed year groups, ideally within KS1 and lower KS2.

Be able to differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities, including higher-attaining pupils.

Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.

Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Be committed to supporting every child's academic progress and wellbeing.
