Carpenter

to work in

Social Housing , completing carpentry and general property maintenance across homes in Wigan. This role offers an immediate start, a company vehicle and the possibility of a permanent position as the workload continues to grow. I'd be keen to speak with candidates who have experience in

carpentry, joinery, social housing repairs or responsive property maintenance .

The Carpenter role is offering: • Company vehicle provided • Long-term work on a social housing maintenance programme • Immediate start available • A varied workload across residential properties • Opportunity to move into a permanent position as the programme grows

As a Carpenter, you will be: • Carrying out carpentry and joinery repairs in social housing properties • Repairing and adjusting doors, frames and wooden fixtures • Completing repairs to handrails and other fittings • Sealing around door frames and associated fixtures where required • Addressing general defects and completing small remedial works • Making good following repairs and leaving work areas tidy • Working respectfully in occupied homes and minimising disruption to residents

I'd love to speak to anyone who has: • Experience in carpentry, joinery or general maintenance • Previous experience working in social housing or residential repairs • Practical skills in repairing doors, frames, fixtures and fittings • The ability to manage jobs independently and deliver quality work • A proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving property issues • Experience working professionally in occupied properties • Confidence using a smartphone or tablet for job reporting • A full UK driving licence • Asbestos Awareness certification (desirable, although training can be arranged)

Location & travel The work is based across

social housing properties throughout Wigan and the surrounding areas , with jobs at properties across the borough. Candidates based in Wigan, Leigh or nearby locations are preferred. A company vehicle will be provided.
