Job responsibilities

• See job descrption of band six practice nurse
• Taking a lead role in running a productive practice nurse team
• Working on own initiative
• Knowledge of leading infection control audits and clinical CQC
• Identify priorities and manage time effectivley to ensure qaulity care is delivered
• Managing own patient list on daily weekly basis and supporting and overseeing other nurses and HC staff
• Delegating work where appropriate
• Educating patients to make better choices and overseeing the daily templates and patient registers

Essential knowledge and skills

• Ability to provide quality care
• Good communication skills

Desirable knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of IT system1

Essential experience

• Lead nurse experiance

Desirable experience

• Experiance of CQC and infection control audits

Essential qualifications

• Qualified and experiance practice nurse

Desirable qualifications

• Phlebotomy, cytology, diabetes, asthma COPD child imms etc
