Location: Hillingdon West London
Contract: Full-Time / Daily Supply (Long-term potential)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: 120 140 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor you will step into the classroom to manage cover lessons across various subjects during teacher absences. You will deliver pre-planned lessons manage classroom dynamics and ensure students remain engaged on-task and safe.
This is an ideal position for experienced Cover Supervisors higher-level Teaching Assistants youth workers or graduates looking to gain valuable whole-class management experience prior to pursuing teacher training.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise whole classes and deliver lesson plans provided by the subject teachers.
Maintain a structured safe and positive learning environment in line with school behaviour policies.
Assist students with their tasks ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
Collect completed classwork and leave accurate handover notes for returning staff.
Uphold standard safeguarding protocols and promote positive student behaviour.
Candidate Requirements
Prior experience working with secondary-aged pupils (classroom experience youth work or tutoring preferred).
Strong presence confidence and excellent communication skills.
High degree of adaptability and ability to handle varying classroom environments.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete a new check).
Full eligibility to work in the UK.
