Milner Associates, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a talented Project Structural Engineer to join our growing Bristol team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer who is chartered or working towards chartership and wants to develop specialist expertise in timber engineering and fire design.

You'll work on a diverse range of projects, collaborating with leading developers, manufacturers, architects and contractors to deliver innovative structural solutions and technical reports. Whether your background is in steel, concrete, masonry or timber structures, we'll help you broaden your experience and develop specialist skills in this rapidly growing sector.

What You'll Be Doing

• Contributing to innovative solutions involving timber construction, fire engineering design and sustainable construction
• Undertaking structural design, analysis and assessment work
• Producing calculations and technical reports
• Working directly with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams
• Carrying out site inspections and technical reporting
• Supporting fee proposals, tenders and business development activities

About You

We're interested in hearing from Structural Engineers who have:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience delivering structural design projects within the built environment
• Progressed towards or achieved ICE or IStructE chartership
• Experience designing in materials such as steel, concrete, masonry or timber
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Experience with structural analysis and design software

Experience of timber engineering is welcome but not essential. If you have a genuine interest in sustainable construction and are keen to develop specialist expertise, we'll provide the support and training to help you succeed.
