Salary: 28000 to 34000 basic depending on qualifications and experience

OTE: Up to 41320 uncapped

Bonus: 3000 Productivity Bonus plus Time Saved Bonus Scheme

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am to 12:30pm

The Opportunity

Pybus Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic on behalf of a well-established automotive dealership in Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician looking to join a professional busy workshop offering a competitive basic salary uncapped earning potential and excellent opportunities for training and career development.

Working alongside an experienced team of technicians you will carry out servicing maintenance vehicle health checks diagnostics and repairs to a consistently high standard.

Our client will consider technicians from both main dealer and independent garage backgrounds. Previous manufacturer experience is desirable but not essential with training and accreditation opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing maintenance and repairs
  
• Complete pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
  
• Carry out vehicle health checks and identify additional work required
  
• Undertake mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis
  
• Check vehicle systems including lights tyres mechanical and electrical components
  
• Complete minor and general mechanical repairs
  
• Fit additional accessories when required
  
• Carry out authorised repair work efficiently and accurately
  
• Complete warranty repairs and associated documentation where required
  
• Road test vehicles to ensure faults have been correctly rectified
  
• Complete all relevant paperwork and job documentation to a high standard
  
• Work in accordance with appropriate technical and workshop standards

Requirements

About You

To be successful you will ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification
  
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
  
• Experience gained within either a franchised dealership or independent garage
  
• A full and valid UK driving licence
  
• Good mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  
• A professional approach and high standards of workmanship
  
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team
  
• A positive attitude and willingness to develop your skills
  

Diagnostic MOT and electric/hybrid vehicle experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
