C++ Software Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Contract C++ Software Engineer with deep expertise in Windows desktop development to join a multi-site engineering team working on complex hardware control systems. The C++ Software Engineer contract has been determined as inside IR35 and offers a day rate of £525 - £550 p/day on an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend. Hybrid working is required so you should be capable of being onsite in the Cambridge area for at least 2-3 days per week. The Role - C++ Software Engineer You will contribute to the design, ongoing development, and maintenance of a flagship control software platform, working alongside cross-site teams in the UK and Europe. * Design and maintain desktop control software using C++ / MFC (alongside C#/.NET elements). * Work with UX designers and application specialists to ensure high software usability. * Maintain complete software documentation, change control, and version tracking standards. * Work in an Agile environment with Azure DevOps, Git, and Visual Studio.
