Commercial Plumber / Water Hygiene Technician (Legionella Compliance) – Mobile Role – Glasgow – up to £35,000 DOE\n

\n An established facilities services company is seeking a Tierr 3 Water Hygiene Technician/Commercial plumber to join their team in a permanent, full-time mobile position. The role involves working across multiple locations throughout Glasgow and the wider Central Belt.\n
\n
Key Responsibilities:\n
\n
\n

\n
• Working closely with the technical team, schedulers, and contract administrators to efficiently deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and remedial water hygiene/treatment works.
\n
• Carrying out temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling, cold water storage tank inspections and cleans.
\n
• Completing cooling tower cleaning and disinfection works.
\n
• Servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
\n
• Conducting water sampling and analysis.
\n
• Performing LTHW system testing and analysis.
\n
• Dosing systems with inhibitor and biocide chemicals.
\n
• Undertaking cooling system testing and analysis.
\n
• Completing steam boiler testing and analysis.
\n
• Servicing water softeners and associated equipment.
\n
• Carrying out plumbing remedial works as required.
\n
• Ensuring all ACOP L8/site logbooks are accurate, compliant, and up to date when acting as Primary Technician.

Person Specification:\n
\n
\n

\n
• Qualified Plumber (Essential)
\n
• Legionella Awareness Training including knowledge of Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274 and any other relevant guidance
\n
• Knowledge of Water Hygiene service delivery requirements based on Table 2.1 HSG274 Part 2
\n
• Valid driving licence
\n
• This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists therefore ability to pass is essential.
\n
