Food Service Assistant - London

Location: London
Pay Rate: Up to £14.24p/h in. hol pay
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm and 8:00am till 4:00pm
Contract: Temp-to-Perm. After successful probation period

The Role

\n

PPM Recruitment is currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Food Service Assistant to join a catering team within a healthcare environment.

\n

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and customer service.

\n

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day catering operation, helping to ensure food and refreshments are prepared and served to a high standard.

\n

Key Responsibilities

    Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.

    • \n
  • \n

    Support the day-to-day running of the catering service.

    • \n
  • \n

    Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout kitchen and food service areas.

    • \n
  • \n

    Wash dishes, utensils and catering equipment as required.

    • \n
  • \n

    Ensure food is handled, stored and served in accordance with food safety procedures.

    • \n
  • \n

    Replenish food service areas and catering supplies.

    • \n
  • \n

    Follow health and safety procedures and site-specific guidelines.

    • \n
  • \n

    Provide a friendly and professional service to patients, staff and visitors.

    • \n
  • \n

    Work effectively as part of a catering team.

    • \n

Requirements

\n

    \n
  • \n

    Previous catering or food service experience is desirable.

    • \n
  • \n

    Good communication and customer service skills.

    • \n
  • \n

    A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.

    • \n
  • \n

    Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    • \n
  • \n

    Good understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.

    • \n
  • \n

    Willingness to complete site induction and mandatory training.

    • \n
  • \n

    Ability to meet the required vetting and compliance checks, including a Standard DBS.

    • \n
