from The Sloane Club, inspired by the Club's founding year and
positioned at the heart of Chelsea's vibrant food and social scene. Combining a
contemporary bistro, artisan café, and premium deli, 1922 will offer members,
residents, and visitors an exceptional destination for breakfast, lunch,
coffee, retail delicatessen products, and informal dining.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and
inspirational leader to shape, and establish 1922 as one of Chelsea's most
admired neighbourhood destinations.

The Role

The Manager of 1922 will be the face, driving
force, and operational leader of this exciting new venture. Responsible for
delivering commercial success and exceptional guest experiences, the successful
candidate will bring together hospitality excellence, entrepreneurial thinking,
and hands-on leadership to create a destination that reflects the values,
heritage, and reputation of The Sloane Club.

Leadership
& Culture

• Lead the ongoing development of the 1922 concept.


• Recruit, inspire, train, and retain an exceptional team.


• Create a culture of warmth, professionalism, accountability, and
  hospitality excellence.


• Act as a visible and engaging presence within the operation,
  leading from the front every day.


• Champion The Sloane Club's values and standards throughout the
  business.

Guest
Experience

• Create a memorable and welcoming environment that attracts both
  Club members and the local Chelsea community.


• Create genuine hospitality & service


• Build long-term relationships with regular guests, local
  businesses, and neighbourhood stakeholders.

Commercial
Performance

• Develop initiatives that drive revenue across the bistro, café,
  takeaway, and deli retail offer.


• Identify opportunities for events, partnerships, seasonal
  activations, and community engagement.

Operational
Excellence

• Ensure seamless execution across all areas of the operation.


• Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation,
  cleanliness, and service delivery.


• Develop and implement standard operating procedures that support
  consistency and efficiency.


• Ensure all opening and closing procedures are rigorously
  maintained.

Brand
Development

• Act as a brand ambassador for 1922 across Chelsea and the wider
  hospitality community.


• Work closely with marketing teams to build awareness, footfall, and
  customer loyalty.


• Support the development of social media, local partnerships, and
  promotional campaigns.


• Continuously seek innovative ways to strengthen the identity and
  reputation of 1922.

Experience
& Qualifications

Essential

• Minimum 2 years proven success as a General Manager or senior
  leader within a premium café, restaurant and bistro.


• Passion for food, coffee, artisan products, and guest experience.


• Ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
