3 Months Contract with a Local Authority

Umbrella - £17.10 per hour - Umbrella

Job Purpose

As a Refuse Loader, you will support a delivery project across Newport by assisting with the transportation and distribution of items, working alongside drivers and ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Assist with deliveries across the Newport area.

• Load and unload items from vehicles safely.

• Support drivers with daily delivery routes.

• Ensure items are delivered accurately and on time.

• Follow manual handling and health & safety procedures.

• Work as part of a team to complete delivery schedules.

• Maintain professional standards when interacting with customers and members of the public.

• Support operational activities as required by the project.

Essential Experience Required

• Previous experience in manual labour, warehouse, logistics, delivery or operational roles.

• Ability to undertake physical work and manual handling activities.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Reliable and punctual approach to work.

• Knowledge of Newport road network advantageous.

• Previous delivery or driver assistant experience desirable.

• Driving Licence required.

• Working Hours: 37 hours per week.

• Newport, NP20 2NS.

• Driving Licence Required.

• Supplier Submission Deadline: 19th October 2026.

• We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
