Glacier Energy is recruiting a Welding Engineer for a gas pipeline and installation inspection framework, covering multiple sites. We're building our team ahead of a January/February 2027 start.

The role:

- Provide welding engineering support to the project, including welding procedures and welder qualification

- Advise on welding and inspection requirements, and review welding-related documentation

- Work alongside the inspection team and the client to resolve technical queries

Essential:

- European Welding Engineer (EWE) or International Welding Engineer (IWE) qualification

- Relevant pipeline welding engineering experience

- Willing to undergo drug and alcohol testing

- Able to contract through your own Ltd company

Desirable:

- SHEA Gas and SHEA Cross-Country Pipelines

The package:

- Contract role for Ltd company contractors, with a competitive day rate

- 5-year framework with options to extend. Work is called off as needed, so duration varies.

- Site-based, 10-hour days, with possible shift patterns (TBC)

- Local candidates preferred. Accommodation may be available where needed.
