£14.50 - £15.50 per hour

4 on, 4 off rota

\n

Shifts: 8:00am - 6:00pm

We are currently recruiting Cooks to support Care homes across the Stockport area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a caring and supportive environment where the quality and presentation of food play an important role in residents' daily lives.

The Role\n

Working within a care home setting, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals using the Apetito catering system. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine passion for ensuring every meal is served to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Regenerating and preparing meals using the Apetito food system
\n
• Ensuring all meals are presented attractively and consistently
\n
• Catering for residents' dietary requirements and preferences
\n
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation
\n
• Managing stock levels and rotating food correctly
\n
• Following food safety procedures and company policies at all times
\n
• Working closely with care home staff to provide an excellent dining experience for residents
\n

What We're Looking For\n

\n
• Previous experience working as a Cook, Kitchen Assistant, Catering Assistant, or within a similar catering environment
\n
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
\n
• A keen eye for detail, particularly when it comes to food presentation
\n
• Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen environment
\n
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable
\n
• Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one
\n
