Job Description

Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer, Reading:* Provide technical support for the manufacture of electro-mechanical products and spare parts* Lead sustaining engineering projects from initial concept through to implementation and verification* Identify and implement product and process improvements within manufacturing operations* Support engineering change activities covering both product designs and manufacturing processes* Establish, maintain and transfer manufacturing lines, including new production line introductions* Manage engineering documentation in accordance with quality management requirements* Work cross-functionally to investigate root causes and resolve manufacturing and product issues* Contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on operational performance and project effectivenessThis job is NOT a Design Engineer role

The Successful Applicant

Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer, Reading:* HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline* Experience within manufacturing engineering, sustaining engineering or operational engineering roles* Knowledge of plastic injection moulding, manual assembly and product test processes - Highly desirable but not essential* Understanding of validation and verification activities associated with engineering changes* Experience using 3D CAD modelling software - Highly desirable but not essential* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and accountable approachPlease note: Unfortunately sponsorship will not be available for this role.
